Representative Jeremy Wooldridge Announces Bid for Arkansas State Senate District 21
June 16, 2025Marmaduke — Republican Representative Jeremy Wooldridge announced that he will run for Arkansas State Senate District 21, which contains all of Clay, Randolph, and Greene Counties, and a portion of Lawrence County.
“I ran to be a voice for the voiceless and to ensure that my boys had the same opportunity to grow up in Northeast Arkansas like I did. If they decide to live elsewhere because we haven’t made our region prosperous – a place worth staying – I can’t live with that!”
Wooldridge currently represents Arkansas State House District 1, which encompasses all of Clay County and portions of Randolph and Greene Counties. He assumed office in 2023 and is currently serving his second term. In the 95th General Assembly, Wooldridge serves as Vice-Chair of the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee. He is also a member of the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee.
This session Wooldridge championed common sense policies like grocery tax relief to keep more money in the pockets of Arkansans, election reforms to improve and safeguard our voting process, standardized systems to aid in search of missing children, and the removal of government impediments to businesses’ prosperity. “While I’m proud of what I have been able to accomplish in my relatively short legislative career, I’m more proud of what I have been able to accomplish on behalf of the people I serve and the communities in this district.”
Beyond his legislative duties, Wooldridge is actively involved in his community. He has served on the boards of United Way, Mission Outreach, the Northeast Fire Department, and the Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association. His previous public service includes serving as a Justice of the Peace for the Greene County District.
“Too many politicians get elected and start caring more about what Little Rock wants rather than what’s best for folks back home,” continued Wooldridge. “I have and will continue to put our region first.”
Wooldridge graduated from Crowley’s Ridge Academy and earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in social work from Arkansas State University. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Crowley’s Ridge Development Council, an organization focused on economic development and community services in northeast Arkansas.
Wooldridge resides in Marmaduke with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children, Jax Henry and Knox Harrison. They are active members of the Church of Christ.
